Plants have evolved complex natural defense mechanisms that enable them cope with the limitation in their environment. These natural defense mechanisms are usually activated when plants sense or detect the presents of stress signals. Natural-Gro is a one of those stress signals that triggered mechanisms described bellow. Plants can actively sense the presents of pathogens or other stress factors and stimulate the expression of certain genes (Hsp90, At-DBF2 etc.) particularly those encoding key enzymes in the phenylpropanoid pathway leading to the increase production of phenolic derivatives. Phenolics are a divers group of plant secondary metabolites that are also activated by a wide range of biotic and abiotic stresses. They are associated with number of defense related functions including: UV-B protection, disease resistance, and defense against herbivores, metal chelators as well as bad weather pattern. Nitrogen fixing microorganisms: Bigger root system increasing amount of symbiotic nitrogen fixing microorganisms living on it and increasing nitrogen uptake that lead to more crop and less need for mineral nitrogen fertilizers. Use of NG will decrease needs for Nitrates for about 20-30% and as a result decrease leaching of Nitrates to the water supply. Soil: Some soil bacteria like Alcaligenes xylosoxidans (AxNiR) and Alcaligenes faecalis S-6 (AfNiR), can grow anaerobically by utilizing nitrogen compounds such as nitrates as an alternative to oxygen. This microbial respiratory process is called denitrification since nitrate (NO3) is taken up and removed from soil, subsequently reduced in a series of reaction: NO2- NO- N2O- N 2. The denitrification process is of great significance in agriculture (due to the loss of nitrate fertilizer) and also plays a tremendous role in the control of nitrate contamination of drinking water and natural water locations. In addition it is important when studying the forest ecosystem as well as the formation of nitrous oxide, one of the gases responsible for the greenhouse effect. Nitrite reductases (NiRs) are the key enzymes of denitrification. It is at this point in the reaction pathway that significant irreversible losses of fixed nitrogen from the soil to the atmosphere occur. How such a weak signal of Natural-Gro can be transmitted through strong saturated solution of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and other agricultural chemicals. We'd observed that effect in experimental models with different agricultural plants and it can be described like DSL or INDS signal going through electrical or telephone wires without affecting it performance. |
